All Korea registration windows for 2026 have closed as of 28 September 2026. Overseas windows differ: Japan holds three paper tests a year, Los Angeles three in 2026, and Vietnam at least four paper and three IBT rounds in 2026. Check your local host.
When will the 2027 TOPIK dates be published?
The 2027 plan has not been published as of 28 September 2026. The last three plans appeared on 11 October 2023, 10 October 2024 and 10 October 2025, so the 2027 schedule is likely around 10 October 2026.
The Enforcement Decree of the Higher Education Act tells the Minister of Education to publish the next year's plan by the end of October. Until the notice is out, any 2027 date you see elsewhere is a guess.
Dates can change after publication: after the government data-centre fire in September 2025, the 9th IBT and 9th Speaking test of 25 October 2025 were cancelled with refunds. NIIED posts changes on topik.go.kr.
How do you register for TOPIK?
In Korea, you register online at topik.go.kr during the round's window and pay with a Korean-issued card or a Korean virtual account. Abroad, you register through the local host institution, not on topik.go.kr.
Registration on topik.go.kr covers only tests taken in Korea; foreign cards and overseas transfers are not accepted, and there is no extra payment period after the window closes. You choose TOPIK I or TOPIK II, not a level, and you can register for both at the same site since they run in the morning and afternoon.
Overseas hosts include IIG Vietnam, the Jakarta Indonesia Korean School, the Korean Education Center in Tashkent, the Korea Educational Foundation in Japan and the Korean Education Center in Los Angeles. Seats are often first come, first served, and hosts close registration when full.
Refunds in Korea: 100% during the registration period, 50% within 7 days after it closes, 40% until 13:00 on the day before the test, nothing after that. Overseas hosts usually apply stricter rules.
How much does TOPIK cost?
In Korea in 2026: 40,000 KRW for paper TOPIK I, 55,000 KRW for paper TOPIK II, 70,000 and 95,000 KRW for the IBT versions, and 80,000 KRW for Speaking. Abroad, each host sets its own fee.

| Korea (paper) | 40,000 KRW | 55,000 KRW | Ministry of Education plan, 2026 |

When and how do results come out?
Results appear on topik.go.kr at 15:00 Korea time on the announced date: about 20 days after an IBT sitting, 23 days after a Speaking test, and 32 to 53 days (five to eight weeks) after a paper test in 2026.
To look up a score you need the test round, your registration number and your date of birth. The report is printed from the website for free; it is not mailed, faxed or emailed. Everyone who sat the test can print one, whether or not a level was reached.
A score is valid for two years from the announcement date, not the test date, and after that it can no longer be viewed or printed on the site. Universities may set their own windows: Seoul National University's Spring 2027 guide accepts tests taken on or after 9 July 2024.
